Our Facilities :: Assisted Living
Our Assisted Living center is a distinctly separate building, but is attached to our retirement facility by an interior hallway. Our apartments, among the largest in the Spokane area, include studios, one, and two- bedroom units. Every resident has a personal care plan with a focus to remain as independent as possible.
Amenities: Residents in our Assisted Living community enjoy all the amenities of our Retirement Apartments, plus additional programs, services, and use of all common areas. Our staff includes licensed and registered nurses to address your personal health care needs. In fact, since we have a licensed nurse here 16 hours per day, we are able to assist our residents with procedures commonly unavailable in other assisted living centers such as injections, eye drops, blood glucose monitoring, and more. Light Assisted Living: Light assisted living is a unique program that allows residents to stay in their independent living apartment and have access to a lighter level of assisted living services. Examples of qualifying for this program include basic medication assistance or bathing assistance. Generally, individuals in light assisted living are quite independent and the services we assist with are scheduled and predictable. When higher care or more complex health issues arise, residents usually move to the assisted living wing.
Diabetic Care: Orchard Crest is committed to providing the best diabetic care for our assisted living residents. Because we staff 16 hour per day of a licensed nurse we are able to provide sliding scale insulin, glucose monitoring, insulin injection, professional oversight consultant and support, diet management, education and nurse staff instruction and foot/skin care management.
